Facts on our forests
Forests are the foundation for Stora Enso's renewable offerings. The division manages Stora Enso's forest assets in Sweden and a 41% share of Tornator, whose forest assets are mainly located in Finland. It is also responsible for wood sourcing for Stora Enso's Nordic and Baltic operations and B2B customers. Stora Enso is one of the biggest private forest owners in the world.
The climate benefits and economic values from growing forests are gained while promoting biodiversity and other sustainability aspects. Our customers can be assured that our products originate from sustainably managed forests. 98% of the lands we own or manage are covered by forest certification.
